Prehab & Trunk Prep

Every workout is complete with a 15-minute Prehab and Trunk prep circuit. This will open up joints and elongate tissues to prepare for sprinting.

Warmup & Activation

To prep for more intensive work to come, we use activation to both prep tendons and fire the central nervous system. We break this into two specific series, bounce and fire.

Technical Speed Drills

There are 4 drill series here. 2 for acceleration and 2 for max velocity. Both are important and will help you master the posture, leg and arm action that will help you run faster.

Isometrics

Isometrics help by targeting specific muscle groups and improving the overall force production and stability of those muscles. Isometric exercises involve holding a static position without joint movement.

Jamil Kassab

Ramona High School 

Jamil started training already having great athleticism. As a two-way starter on the Ramona Football team, Jamil ran 19 MPH in December of 2021. 

After 12 weeks of training with Spellman Performance, Jamil ran 21.41 MPH in March of 2022. 

Then he kept working. 2-3 days a week completing the Spellman program. 

On August 5th, 8 months later Jamil ran 22 MPH. Jamil was an all-state DB/WR his junior year at Ramona High School.

Catarina Macario

US Women's National Team

Cat Macario has been using the Spellman speed system for the past 10+ years.

She consistently trained speed 2-3 times a week and recently ran 20mph at 22 years old. 

By adding speed to her toolbox, she became a standout at Standford University and won the Herman Trophy for best women's soccer player in the country.

She is now an Adidas Athlete and key player for Chelsea FC.

Jalen Lewis

Oaks Christian High School

May 12, 2021 and Jalen Lewis runs 19 MPH. He has aspirations to become the best corner back in the nation. 

Jalen trains with the Spellman Performance team for one year. And on June 15, Jalen ran 22 MPH. 

A 3 mph improvement is massive for on-field performance. Being able to keep up with speedy wide receives just got a whole lot easier. 

Next fall, you can catch Jalen playing cornerback at Northwestern University.

How will I receive the programming and training?

All training is conducted through the Volt Athletics app. Volt has been an industry leader In Fitness & Training Software for 10+ years. Each workout can be completed Inside Volt's mobile app with high level videos from the Spellman Performance team. 

Is the program built for a specific sport or athlete?

The training Inside the Speed City membership will help all athletes improve their speed no matter your sport, age, gender, or demographic. 

What equipment do I need to complete the workouts? 

Very little! All you need are bands and space with at least 40 yards to sprint. Most of the exercises can be completed within a 10-20 yard area. 

How much does the Speed City membership cost?
