Pillar 1

THE START

The Start Phase is steps 0-2 and is the largest change in velocity over the course of the entire sprint.

Pillar 2

ACCELERATION

The Acceleration Phase is steps 3-10 and includes the transition to Max Velocity. Once you reach step 10, you'll typically see 80% of your max velocity reached.

Pillar 3

MAx Velocity

The Max Velocity Phase is steps 10+. We want to go from 80% of our velocity to 100% of our max velocity. This is largely dependent on the amount of vertical force being produced into the ground.
